What am I working on?
Although not always possible due to signed NDAs or other restrictions, I will try to add some projects here I am currently working on or have worked on recently.
The category archive pages as well as the product category archive pages were the biggest challenge as I discovered a WPML bug where for these pages the wpml_object_id filter does not properly work.
Recently I added Dutch to the site, of course with WPML, and translated part of the site in that language.
My experience told me that in almost all cases the issue points to a problem with the WPML translation settings of custom fields.
After a short assessment I found that the theme was not internationalised and the translation settings for custom fields had not been done correctly.
When a Swedish client approached me to assist with Localization of their e-commerce website, I first asked to do an Assessment before doing any estimates.
For this Canadian client I have been doing Localization on several occasions last year and also this year I already have done a few jobs for them.
This project makes it very clear that Optimization is in fact directly related to how Google ranks a site.
