A Swedish client approached us to assist with Localization of their e-commerce website. The site is currently running in Swedish and the plan is to expand it with 5 more languages.
In these cases we always ask to do an Assessment before doing any estimates. For us it is much easier to come with a proposal after having been able to spend some time on and with the site. And for the client it is also better, because more often than not we discover things that need fixing before we can do the job the client intended to hire us for.
In this particular case the WPML setup was not complete and a lot could be done in terms of Optimization.
Our proposal reflected our findings and the client hired us to take care of everything.
