A Swedish client approached me to assist with Localization of their e-commerce website. The site is currently running in Swedish and the plan is to expand it with 5 more languages.
In these cases I always ask to do an Assessment before doing any estimates. For me it is much easier to come with a proposal after having been able to spend some time on and with the site. And for the client it is also better, because more often than not I discover things that need fixing before I can do the job the client intended to hire us for.
In this particular case the WPML setup was not complete and a lot could be done in terms of Optimization.
My proposal reflected the findings and the client hired me to take care of everything.
